Natural Disasters

It is important to be aware of the areas of the country most affected by natural disasters and what time of the year they normally occur. The most common disasters are; earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, hail, floods and forest fires.

Starting a new career as an Insurance Claims adjuster, you may want to consider relocating to a more central location. Typically on a deployment you are given 48 hours to be at the designated area. So if it is a cross-country drive, there’s not going to be any time for sleep!

………. (On a personal note, I was in the music business from 78 – 84. I toured 20 countries with most of the top bands. ………. Going without sleep was just all part of the fun. But now that I am older, if I don’t get at least 6 hours a night, I can ………. barely function!)
.
The states that have the most natural disasters are; Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri and California. Do keep in mind, that a consideration in choosing adjusters for a deployment is not your close proximity to the target area! However, if you live in Seattle and the deployment is in Florida, you could be passed over in favor of an adjuster living in Georgia.
