Instructions for Registering

A. Click on the Student Registration navigation button, for the course you are interested in taking. Then complete the application, including the two security questions. When finished, Click on “Submit.” You will be taken to PayPal to make your payment.

B. You will receive a confirmation email.

C. When you are ready to start the course, Click on “Sign In” which is on the top right side of the Home Page, and enter your username and password.

D. At this point you have read the instructions for registering and are ready to begin. Click on “Section 1.” If you are a returning student, you will automatically be taken to the next Section.


There are two 40 hour Adjuster Training courses.  Each consists of three parts:

Study Section: This part consists of 120 sections, each with five multiple choice questions. To pass and go to the next section you must answer three of the five questions correctly. This Study Section covers the course materials, which is designed to prepare you for the final exam. It is worth 30 hours credit. 

Self-Study: When you successfully complete the Study Section, you must download the Self-Study manual. This information is to be used in preparation for the final examination. The Texas Department of Insurance mandates you spend a minimum of 10 hours studying this material before taking the final examination. You will be required to sign an affidavit to that effect.

Final Exam: Once you have completed the Self Study part of this course, you may take the Final Examination. By clicking on the link to begin the final exam, you are confirming a to the Texas Department of Insurance that you have met the necessary 10 hours of self-study in preparing for the test. This is in addition to the above mentioned affidavit. When you are ready to take your final examination, Click “Take Final Exam.” You and your Proctor will log in. The proctor will be required to log out when you complete the examination.


Course Availability: The course will be available for review one year from the time of registration.

Certificate Availability: Upon course completion your certificate will be mailed to you with detailed instructions on submitting it to the Texas Department of Insurance.

To get started as an Insurance Adjuster you need either the ALL LINES or PROPERTY & CASUALTY license. Both of these courses are offered through TEXAS. Why? Because Texas literally wrote the book on insurance. They did such a good job, that over 30 other states ‘adopted’ it via reciprocity. Which means, that by acquiring this one license, you can work claims in most of the country! So even if you already have a license from your home state, you still need a Texas license.
